The Slough Careers Event will provide an opportunity for students and parents from across the whole of the Slough area to engage with local businesses and find out about career opportunities, apprenticeships and training within their area now or for the future. 

This 2 day event will be taking place on Wednesday 6^th February - Thursday 7^th February 2013 at The Centre, Farnham Road, Slough, SL1 4UT

This has been organised by the Partnership of Learning to Work and business sponsors from across Slough.

Around 60 employers, training and education providers and specialist advisers will be on hand in one place to offer information and practical help on getting ready for the world of work.

During the 2 day’s, around 1600 Year 9 students (13-14 year olds) in the Slough borough will attend with their schools and have the chance to ask questions, pick up ideas, listen to inspirational speakers and make contact with potential employers. They can also get personal advice on how to put together a stand-out CV and polish up interview techniques.

The evening session on Wednesday 6th February will follow the same pattern, but will run from 4.00pm to 7.30pm and will be open to students of all ages, their parents and carers and to young people who may have left education and need help getting into work or training.
